The Pregnancy Centre is a not for profit service, founded in Christchurch in 2005.
We offer free, valuable community support to women and couples who need help with their pregnancy, adverse pre-natal diagnosis or with grief or other issues arising from pregnancy and baby loss. We also offer education in natural fertility awareness and family planning.
Our friendly Pregnancy Centre staff are happy to offer a listening ear, information and practical help. Our service is totally confidential and non-judgmental. We are committed to helping any woman, couple or family who feels alone, anxious or uncertain about their pregnancy. Together, we will help you navigate your way through the challenges you are facing.
Our funding comes from individual donations, fundraising events and grants. Donations are always welcome.
We accept new baby capsules, new or used baby furniture (if it is in good condition and meets NZ safety standards), maternity wear, nappies, infant clothing (up to 2 years old), bottle sterilisers, baby bedding, and other items (e.g., portacots, etc). Please call us at (03) 351 3227 before dropping off any goods.
