What About Adoption
You may have many questions about adoption if you are not in a position to parent right now.
• Can the birth parents select the family that they think would be best for their baby?
• What is the difference between “open” and “closed” adoption?
• Can birth parents have contact with their child after the adoption?
• What if birth parents change their mind after making an adoption plan?
We want you to have a supportive, caring environment to get the information you need as you and your partner consider whether to prepare an adoption plan for your child’s future. We can set up a private appointment so you can find the information you need. We are committed to supporting both parents to ensure everyone’s options and rights are understood.
Planning an adoption for a child can be emotionally difficult. We offer support throughout the entire adoption process and after the baby is placed for adoption. The decision to place a child for adoption can be made anytime during the pregnancy or even after the baby is born.
